Forest Animal Rescue is honored to receive a $500 grant thanks to the thoughtful students in Mrs. Truelieb’s class at North Marion Middle School!
Through the Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County’s Adam Hanson Youth Philanthropy in Action (YPIA) program, middle school students learn about philanthropy, community involvement, and the power they have to make a difference.
As part of the program, students research nonprofits that reflect their personal interests and develop a “case for support” to convince their classmates to award an imaginary $500 grant to their chosen organization.
But here’s the exciting twist… the $500 is REAL! 🎉
The students vote on the presentations, and the winning organization receives an actual $500 grant!
We are incredibly grateful that Forest Animal Rescue was selected by Mrs. Truelieb’s class!
💚 To these amazing young philanthropists: THANK YOU! Your compassion for wildlife and your willingness to support organizations making a difference are truly inspiring.
A special thank-you to Mrs. Truelieb, the Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County, and the Adam Hanson Youth Philanthropy in Action program for empowering the next generation of community leaders.
You are never too young to make a difference! 🐻🦉🌳
